How To Make Nutritious Buns

Buns Recipe


500g (All Purpose Flour).
90g Sugar.
2 Tablespoon Baking Powder.
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg(optional).
2 Eggs.
100g melted butter/margarine.
2Tablespoon powdered milk.
1/2 Teaspoon salt.
1Cup Warm Water for mixing.
Vegetable oil for deep frying.

Procedure (Yield 20 Moderate Size Buns or More depending on your desired size)

1.In a medium size bowl,add the flour,baking powder,salt and nutmeg (mix together).
2.Whisk the eggs and pour into the melted butter or margarine (mix together ).
3.Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour the eggs and butter mixture into the flour mixture(mix till its looks lumpy).
4.Dissolve the sugar and milk in the cup of warm water measured and mix make sure the sugar dissolve completely.Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and gently pour the milk mixture into it while mixing continuously(mix with a Turning Stick)(mix as if you are making Amala LOL),Till you get a Stretchy Sticky Dough,then set aside for 5 minutes.
5.In a frying pan or pot,heat the oil on medium heat (ensure the oil is about 3 inch deep or more).
6.Scoop a Tablespoon full of sticky dough or molded balls into the hot oil and allow to fry till golden brown on both sides for about 4 Minutes .Don’t worry about the dough size on Tablespoon it would expand and bloat once it set into the oil.NOTE (when you drop the dough into the oil ,it should sink to the bottom of the pot or pan.Just wait a few seconds and TILT it a bit with your spoon or kebab stick)
7. Transfer the fried Buns on to the paper towel to remove excess oil.leave to cool and Serve. Enjoy
NOTE (To fry the next batch ,reduce the HEAT to LOW .This is because the oil is going to be too hot after the first batch.
